This little ugly creature was a new one on me. It is a banana slug, found in the Pacific Northwest. I saw several of them, one more like two-tone suede shoes.
It is a harmless forest creature, but not something I'd like as a pet.
Land surveyor, devoted husband, and the animals think I'm wonderful.
I see you found some of our cute little slugs :)
Thank you for your comment on my post at KevenMD's blog. Unfortunately, the post was edited and retitled for the cross-posting, and I'm not convinced that the changes kept the point of the post. My main point wasn't that patients can do things to keep doctors from placing blame - which is implied with the new title. This was part of a series pondering some of the things that hinder doctor-patient communication. The original post can be seen here. Despite the fact that there are some hinderances, I don't think it's useful to dwell on injustices (the doctor blamed me but it wasn't my fault); it's more useful to think about why it happened and see if it's possible to keep it from happening again. I'd love to know if you think the original post makes more sense than the one you read first.
